What do the H-TRAP 2014 and Normandy have in common? The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014! The largest equestrian horse show in the world is being held in France and the H-Trap will be on display, both for the first time. The game organizers have arranged for 31 H-Traps to be set up at the exhibition and jumping grounds to offer riders and horses alike good protection from female horse flies and other biting flies, if they are present and a nuisance.
This two week event, from August 23 to September 7, 2014, has 8 world championships at stake in jumping, eventing, dressage, reining, driving, endurance, vaulting, and para-dressage. Most of the disciplines will take place in the host city of Caen, which is a short distance from the Games Village. The Endurance event will be held at the Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel and the Cross of the Eventing discipline will take place at le Pin National Stud in the heart of the Normandy countryside.
This world event, in its seventh year, is considered even bigger than the equestrian activities held at the Olympics games because of the following facts:
– 74 countries
– 300 photographers
– 300 exhibitors
– 967 athletes
– 1000 journalists
– 1113 horses
– 500 000 spectators
