Ready to get excited about your first trip to the garden nursery? Before going, you need to review what you already have and what you would like to have growing in your yard, on your deck or patio. Do you have good food, water, and shelter sources for the plants and animals that inhabit your garden/yard area?
With paper and pencil in hand, sketch out what you had in place from last year. Make notes on what grew well and what needs to be replaced due to various growing issues. Do you recall where the problem areas were last year? Can you replace shrubs or plants that are wildlife friendly? Is it a native in your region?
